The Data Protection Act

Under the Data Protection Act 1988, all commercially installed systems are required to be registered.

The ‘Code of Practice’ contains 62 legally enforceable ‘Standards’ that must be met to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The Commissioner includes a further 30 points of good practice, which together with the standards, are designed to build and maintain public confidence in CCTV systems and to ensure that they operate within the law.

Orion Security are an NSI Gold approved Alarm installer, and have installed thousands of Alarm systems, from small “Bells Only” home systems, to full monitored and maintained Multi Site systems with Police Response. We are fully compliant with current Intruder Alarm legislation and EU standards, and are included on the list of Compliant Intruder Alarm installing companies for all major Police Forces. We also offer a full Alarm Monitoring service via our ARC (alarm Receiving Centre).
